Conditions of Entry and Terms of Use
The rules that apply to every Fitness Passport user at Catalyst Training Co. Please read them before you sign in.

Part A
Conditions of Entry
Display this at reception and with the Fitness Passport sign in sheet. Every Fitness Passport user agrees to it each time they sign in.
By signing in, you agree that:
- 01You will sign in at reception on every visit, either by giving your name to our member relations team and presenting your Fitness Passport identification to be verified, or by completing the Fitness Passport sign in sheet on the reception desk. You will only enter during our opening hours.
- 02Your access covers the gym floor only. Classes, personal training and specialty programs are not included.
- 03You will bring and use a towel. If you do not have one, a towel is available to hire at reception for $2, payable before you train.
- 04You will use equipment safely, return it to its home after use, and report any fault, hazard or breakage to staff straight away.
- 05You will treat the gym and everything in it with care. Damaging, defacing, marking or littering the premises, the equipment or the fittings is not permitted.
- 06You will treat our staff and other users with respect, and you will follow reasonable directions from staff.
- 07You will give staff honest and accurate information if you are asked about an incident on the premises.
- 08You understand that CCTV operates throughout the gym, that entering means you consent to being recorded, and that footage may be reviewed when an incident is investigated.
- 09You understand that Catalyst Training Co. may refuse, suspend or permanently withdraw your access if you breach these conditions, and that as the occupier of these premises we may withdraw permission to enter at any time.
A full copy of our Fitness Passport Terms of Use is available at reception via a QR on the sign in sheet. These conditions apply to every Fitness Passport user equally.
Part B
Fitness Passport Terms of Use
1Scope of access
- 1.1Fitness Passport users are granted access to the gym floor only, including strength and cardiovascular equipment.
- 1.2Access does not include group sessions, personal training, Pilates, specialty programs or any other service unless agreed in writing by Catalyst Training Co.
- 1.3Open gym access is permitted during all opening hours. Reception is staffed throughout opening hours. Opening hours are published at reception and on our website, and may change from time to time.
- 1.4Fitness Passport users access the facility as casual users. No membership rights or entitlements apply beyond gym floor access during opening hours.
- 1.5Gym floor access is included in the user's Fitness Passport membership. Catalyst Training Co. does not charge Fitness Passport users a joining fee, an access fee or any other additional cost for that access. The only exception is the towel hire fee in clause 5.2, which applies where a user does not bring a towel.
2Eligibility and sign in
- 2.1Users must sign in at reception on every visit, by one of the following methods:
- giving their name to a member relations team member, who will verify the user's valid Fitness Passport identification; or
- completing the Fitness Passport sign in sheet held on the reception desk.
- 2.2Users must complete a Pre Exercise Questionnaire and any other form reasonably required by Catalyst Training Co. before their first session.
- 2.3Access is conditional on the user's Fitness Passport membership remaining active and valid.
- 2.4By signing in, the user acknowledges and agrees to the Conditions of Entry set out in Part A and to these Terms of Use. The Conditions of Entry are displayed at reception and with the Fitness Passport sign in sheet.
- 2.5Access is also subject to the terms and conditions of the user's Fitness Passport membership, published by Fitness Passport at fitnesspassport.com.au/legal. These Terms of Use apply in addition to those terms and govern conduct on these premises.
3Conduct
- 3.1Users must comply with all gym rules, policies, signage and reasonable directions from Catalyst Training Co. staff at all times.
- 3.2Users must treat staff and other users with courtesy and respect. Abusive, threatening, harassing or disruptive behaviour is not permitted.
- 3.3Users must use equipment correctly and safely, and return it to its designated storage position after use.
- 3.4Users must not enter or train while affected by alcohol, illicit substances or medication that may impair safe participation.
- 3.5Where an incident on the premises is raised with a user, the user must respond honestly and accurately.
4Care of the premises and equipment
- 4.1Users must not damage, deface, mark, alter or interfere with the premises, the equipment, the fittings or the property of others.
- 4.2Users must not leave litter, food waste, chewing gum, tape, chalk or personal items on the gym floor, on equipment or on any surface. Bins are provided throughout the gym.
- 4.3Users must report any fault, breakage, hazard or spill to staff immediately.
- 4.4Catalyst Training Co. may recover from a user the reasonable cost of repairing or making good damage caused by that user's deliberate, reckless or negligent conduct.
5Hygiene and attire
- 5.1Appropriate training attire and enclosed footwear must be worn at all times.
- 5.2A towel is mandatory while training. Users without a towel must hire one at reception for $2 before training.
- 5.3Users must wipe down equipment after use.
- 5.4Failure to meet hygiene or attire requirements may result in access being refused for that visit.
6CCTV and monitoring
- 6.1CCTV operates throughout the facility for safety, security and risk management purposes.
- 6.2By entering the premises, users consent to being recorded in accordance with applicable privacy legislation.
- 6.3Footage may be reviewed for incident investigation, compliance, insurance or safety purposes.
- 6.4Footage is retained securely and is not released to third parties except where required by law, where necessary for insurance or legal proceedings, or with the consent of the individuals recorded.
7Suspension and withdrawal of access

7.1
Catalyst Training Co. may immediately suspend, refuse or permanently withdraw access where a user:
- breaches these Terms of Use or the Conditions of Entry;
- fails to comply with safety requirements or reasonable staff directions;
- damages or defaces the premises or equipment;
- provides false or misleading information about an incident; or
- poses a risk to themselves, to staff or to other users.
- 7.2The severity of the response will reflect the nature of the conduct, whether it was deliberate, and the user's response when the matter is raised.
- 7.3Catalyst Training Co. is the occupier of these premises and may withdraw permission to enter at any time. This right exists independently of these Terms of Use.
- 7.4Where access is withdrawn, Catalyst Training Co. will notify Fitness Passport and will confirm the decision to the user in writing on request.
8Health, risk and liability
- 8.1Users acknowledge that physical exercise carries inherent risks, including the risk of injury or illness.
- 8.2Users confirm they are medically fit to participate and are responsible for monitoring their own condition. Users must stop exercising immediately and notify staff if they feel unwell, dizzy or experience pain.
- 8.3Staff instruction and supervision are not included in Fitness Passport access and may not be available. Users must only use equipment they understand how to operate safely.
- 8.4Catalyst Training Co. staff do not provide medical advice, diagnosis or supervision. Users are strongly advised to seek medical advice before starting a new exercise program.
- 8.5Catalyst Training Co. accepts no responsibility for loss, theft or damage to personal belongings brought onto the premises.
- 8.6To the extent permitted by law, Catalyst Training Co. is not liable for injury, illness or loss arising from a user's improper use of equipment, failure to follow instructions or directions, or undisclosed medical conditions.
- 8.7Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these Terms of Use excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law or any other applicable law. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the extent permitted by law.
9Emergency procedures
- 9.1Users must familiarise themselves with emergency exits and safety signage.
- 9.2In an emergency, users must comply immediately with staff instructions and evacuation procedures.
- 9.3Catalyst Training Co. may contact emergency services where it considers this necessary.
10Amendments
- 10.1Catalyst Training Co. may amend these Terms of Use and the Conditions of Entry at any time. Where a change is material, reasonable notice will be given by display at reception and at sign in.
- 10.2Each version is dated. The version in force on the date of a visit applies to that visit.
11Acknowledgement
- 11.1By signing in and entering the facility, Fitness Passport users confirm that they have read, understood and agree to be bound by the Conditions of Entry in Part A and these Terms of Use.
- 11.2A copy of these Terms of Use can be viewed via the QR code on the Fitness Passport sign in sheet at reception, and is provided on request.
